hybrid Revere 8mm film splicer/editor viewer, possib home joined +2 metal reels

Description

I am told this is a Revere 8mm editor viewer with a splice block attached. It was my grandfather’s, so about 70yrs old. I know nothing about filmmaking, splicing, etc so you’ll need to judge for yourself - I cannot find something online that looks like this. Perhaps my grandfather joined these pieces himself.
The bulb is good, so you can see it does power up when plugged in.
