Description

One Set of 2 Film Editing Thumbscrew Clamps for Longer Rewind Shafts.  These hold any size Film Reel either on or against the Rewind Shaft drive key.  16mm & 35mm fit on the drive key.  8mm & Super-8 (With adapter - not included) are held against the key with the rubber pad.  So One-Size-Fits All.  These fit Moviola, Hollywood Film Company, and Neumade.
But also if you have 35mm or 70mm rewinds with the flip-over reel holders - these will slide over the joint of the flip over, and hold a 16mm on the drive key, and that key is too large for 8mm and the shaft is too small for Super-8.  If you put an adapter on a Super-8 reel, this thumbscrew clamp rubber pad will hold 8 & S8 w/adapter against the drive key so this lets you use pretty much anything on a 35mm - 70mm - or long shaft.
The original style of editing used 10 or 12 inch shafts with 3 or 4 sets of reels separated by spacers, and all held together with Thumbscrew Clamps like these.  If you are doing this style of "B Roll" editing these clamps are necessary.
But now the 10 & 12 inch shafts are obsolete.  Some ingenious & clever Editors have discovered that taking a hacksaw and cutting them down to 5" exposed is a good HACK (pun intended.)  Then you clean up the cut end on a bench grinder.  Now you have a rewind with a shaft suitable for 35mm-16mm-8mm & Super-8 if you have a set of the inserts that adapt the larger Super-8 reel hole to fit the standard 35-16 shafts.  Adapters not included - but available here on eBay.  Also - Rewinds not included - but available here on eBay.
So - if you have a longer than normal Shaft, you will be amazed at how useful these Spring Clamps can be.  They can keep you from losing control of your reel causing it to Prematurely Shoot off the end of your shaft and lay waste to your editing bench.
These are Clean and in Excellent Condition.
By the way - these are drilled out - no tab for the shafts with a deep groove - so these will work on any rewind.  The Thumbscrew holds the reel against the reel, and the rubber pad helps hold it.  The Spring Clamp types are not drilled out - and only work on shafts with the long groove.
