Smart Fortwo Electric Diagnose BMS Bricked N82/2 P18051C USA BASED!

Failure of the BMS is no longer a death sentence for Smart Fortwo Electrics!
These cars are subject to bcoming "bricked". with resultant dead HV battery and non resettable P18051C code, and possible mechanical failures as a result of 12v battery draw down. If you are reading this, you are already aware that some of the codes are impossible to reset by normal means. Most Smarts are no longer under warranty, and worse, Mercedes won't repair or offer repair parts for these HV batteries.  The problem affects all Smart Electrics with N82/2 BMS shown above.
This service will diagnose the BMS for possible reset of all codes in the BMS, diagnose physical condition of the BMS. Afterwards

an additional fee will be supplied separately to clear the P18051C code, once or permanently removed forever, your choice,  and return the BMS to the owner via USP or FedEx.
Typical additional fee is 0.  0 more for absolute permanent removing the P18051C from the BMS forever. Only more if hardware problems exist, which I've never seen so far.  We have on occasion a good used BMS, permanently reset, to sell in worst case, as a separate option.
If you have no other failed hardware, and the cells are recoverable, the car will be returned to normal operation.  Thus far, this has always been the case.
Physical repair of failed electronics, if any, these would be at extra cost, we would advise prior to work.  Easier in this case is to swap with a working BMS here in stock. If hardware failure is evident, we will communicate that fact with a repair or replace estimate.  Note that this BMS "bricked" problem often coincides with failure of the internal current sensor in the HV battery pack.
Note we have the ability to go into the actual BMS' program, revise the actual firmware code and eliminate the possibility of this particular code from ever reappearing.  Mentioned above, this is 0 extra, as it entails removing, editing, and reinserting the total program back into the BMS.
You will ship the BMS to my Pennsylvania address, it shouldn't cost more than or , don't forget tracking. Payment includes diagnose error codes, inspect for mechanical failures, and then you supply fee mentioned above to complete the work. We will return to buyer at our choice of shipping using normal means (no additional cost to lower 48).  No costly overseas shipping or customs charges would incur.

So in summary, the auction fee covers diagnosing and returning the BMS unrepaired if desired, and 0 total is typical to remove the P18051C and other codes.  Removing the P18051C from ever reoccurring is 0 extra. as it involves firmware editing.
Please mark your parts beforehand so you know you're getting the same part in return.  Note I have perfect feedback, over the last what, 20 years?  I don't cheat people.  If there's a problem, I will rework the code once more (if my error) at no additional cost.  If we can't do the work properly, assuming a repairable BMS, we'll fully refund.
