Vintage Antique Mansfield Film Splicer Auto-splice 8mm & 16mm Silent or Sound

Description

Very old Mansfield Film Splicer Auto-splice 8mm & 16mm Silent or Sound.  Looks like it would work but I have no idea how to work it.  My dad used it in the 50s I think.  Comes in the original box with its instruction booklet.
AND a warranty card you can mail in and ....  (OK  maybe not).
